NYC Frocktails Fit: Mirri Jumpsuit Hack

NEW YORK CITY FROCKTAILS 2023!

What a night! I don’t even know how to break down the party where everyone makes their own outfit. It was an incredible night, where I got to meet so many amazing sewists that I had chatted to online and some I had just met that night. The theme was Studio 44 and let me tell you the outfits were insane! I was just so happy to be amongst such talent.

For my make, I decided to patchwork all my Blackbird linen together into a jumpsuit. I decided to do this the weekend before we left and got it done in 3 days. I serged each edge and pressed and I still look at it like it’s a masterpiece. I used the Mirri Jumpsuit from Papercut Patterns but hacked the neckline and the sleeves. I’m so proud of this make and till this day I don’t think I can ever top it!
