Minerva Round 2: The Adrianna Dress

Today I'll be showing how I took one inspiration picture from Pinterest, combined it with an amazing geometric knit fabric gifted from Minerva and the new Adrianna Dress pattern from the Friday Pattern Company.

Welcome to another episode of "Romy makes a pinterest dream a reality: Part 2". Anyone here heard of Cecilie Bahnsen? What an amazing designer. Everything is so effortlessly, cool-girl chic. She manages to make things that just scream I'm an amazing cloud of perfection. So when I found the below picture I knew I had to make it a reality. Then when I received my gifted fabric from Minerva I just about died. It's like the sewing stars aligned and I was blessed with the tools to make this dream a reality.

I had been eyeing the Adrianna Dress from Friday Pattern Company for a little bit, but when she released the blog post with the elastic waist hack it was a done deal! I bought it, printed it and taped it together that night. The next day I cut out my pattern and then the next night I started sewing.

Now here's the thing: this was a really good sew up because Friday Pattern Company is just that thorough and has some of the best instructions out there, but of course I had to make things harder on myself and make it in a specifically stated "non-recommended fabric." Golly gosh did that make things a little more trying. You'll be able to read all about it once my blogpost hits the Minerva site very, very soon. Until then, enjoy the "I can't open my eyes in the snow" pictures. Anyone who has lived in snow knows exactly what I'm talking about.
