The True Bias Aster Dress

I had the pleasure of sewing the True Bias Aster Dress from True Bias. This pattern is so cute and a quick sew. It has the option for a lining if that’s your thing. It also has POCKETS! I made my size according to the size chart but found I should have sized down. Thankfully the construction lends itself well to going back in and revising fit.

For my revisions, I ended up taking 1 inch out on each side after I took pictures. I also removed the pockets. I kept getting them caught on stuff so it was safer for me to let them go. If you’re clumsy like me then I suggest the same.

Now let’s take a moment for this fabric. I picked this up from The Selvedge Society in Stanmore, NSW. It was love at first sight. The buttons are from Harmony Provo.

I can’t wait to wear this across the seasons with layering pieces. So if you’re after a good dress pattern that can be worn across seasons then I say consider the Aster.
